Lake Ashtabula is a reservoir located in the northeast corner of Barnes County and the southeast corner of Griggs County in North Dakota, United States. The lake is formed by the Baldhill Dam on the Sheyenne River and covers an area of ~27 square miles with ~50 miles of shoreline. It is a popular destination for outdoor recreation including boating, fishing, camping, hiking, and wildlife watching. The lake is also an important source of water for irrigation, municipal, and industrial use in the surrounding region.
